We have been using MareNostrum for many years and have always found the service and food of the highest standard. Beautifully quiet location, just behind the beach, with amazing outlook of sand dunes with the glimpse of the sea beyond. Such a relaxing spot, with amazing hosts Mercedes and her husband Juan Carlos, never disappoints.

Trato excelente, la comida exquisita, sitio tranquilo al lado del mar. Hemos pedido ración de secreto, chopitos, carne con tomate, media ración de croquetas de gambas y media ración de croquetas de jamón ibérico. Todo exageradamente bueno. Y con cada consumición te ponen tu tapa. Totalmente recomendado. El cocinero un 10 y el camarero jovencito super agradable y pendiente.

Excellent service, exquisite food, and a quiet location by the sea. We ordered a portion of secreto, baby squid, meat with tomato sauce, a half portion of shrimp croquettes, and a half portion of Iberian ham croquettes. Everything was incredibly good. And with each order, they give you a tapa. Highly recommended. The chef was a 10, and the young waiter was super friendly and attentive.

La verdad es que muy bien. Un sitio que merece la pena, con un trato genial y un ambiente muy agradable. Las tapas un pelin escasas pero compensado de sobras por la calidad de las mismas. Estaba todo muy bueno y las tapas de brasa estupendas. Precio bien. Recomiendo.

13.01.2023 wir haben hier zur Mittagszeit gegessen. Die Tapas waren wunderbar und der Fisch, Schwertfisch und Petersfisch, war himmlisch. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Manchmal lohnt es sich, ein paar Meter weiter zu schauen. Danke!

Tomamos una riquísima ensalada de una variedad de tomate que no había tomado (me dijo el nombre pero lo olvidé), muy rico, y aguacates de la variedad Hash (la mejor en mi opinión), excelentes. Todo ello con aceite de oliva virgen extra, por supuesto y un tipo de sal que me pareció Maldon
La fritura muy rica y la atención correcta.
Dispone de un menú por quince euros que como se puede ver en las fotos, da para elegir.
Por cierto, los aseos, limpios y bonitos
La última vez que estuvimos alli, sufrimos un comportamiento que nos dejó mal sabor de boca. No hemos vuelto a ir. Entendimos que su actitud no era honesta, desgraciadamente.Traducción
I give it four stars. Located by the sea, it has an outdoor terrace, an indoor lounge, and from what I could see, there's also a space available upstairs. We had a delicious salad made with a variety of tomato I hadn't tried (he told me the name, but I forgot it), very tasty, and the Hash avocados (the best in my opinion), excellent. All with extra virgin olive oil, of course, and a type of salt that I thought was Maldon. The fried food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They have a menu for fifteen euros, which, as you can see in the photos, is quite generous. By the way, the restrooms are clean and nice. The last time we were there, we experienced behavior that left a bad taste in our mouths. We haven't gone back. We understood that their attitude was dishonest, unfortunately.

Me pedí emperador a la plancha, buenísimo. Con patatas echas acordé al pescado, las clavaron.
El emperador, jugoso, al ajillo, con un poquito de limón. Mientras esperaba el pescado, me pusieron un entrante de ensaladilla, buenísima. Ambos platos me alimentaron sin dejarme pesado pero recuperado.
La cocinera muy atenta con los comensales.

He venido a Almerimar a montar un equipo de música en dos motos de agua y dos geolocalizadores GPS de G-SAT TRACKING. Jolín, qué rico.... Sin duda, si el destino me vuelve a traer a Almerimar, volveré a Mare Nostrum.
Para rematar, pedazo de postre, piña, pero al detalle: piña a la parrilla, con helado en el centro y toffe. Lamentablemente, en las reseñas, solo puedo poner 5, yo pondría una más. Totalmente recomendable.Traducción
They respect COVID regulations. Phenomenal service. Very good service, advice based on your appetite. Excellent quality. The bread was freshly baked. I ordered grilled squid, delicious. With potatoes to match the fish, they were perfect. The squid was juicy, with garlic, and a little lemon. While I waited for the fish, they served me a salad starter, delicious. Both dishes fed me without leaving me feeling heavy, yet refreshed. The cook was very attentive to the diners. Good food. I came to Almerimar to set up a stereo system on two jet skis and two G-SAT TRACKING GPS locators. Wow, how delicious... Without a doubt, if fate brings me to Almerimar again, I will return to Mare Nostrum. To top it off, a fabulous dessert, pineapple, but with a touch of detail: grilled pineapple, with ice cream in the center and toffee. Unfortunately, I can only give 5 reviews; I'd give one more. Totally recommend it.
